PESTIFER replace WHITE WARD at SoC

Belgian Death Metal band PESTIFER now join the line-up of DMP's upcoming Servants of Chaos festival, stepping in for WHITE WARD, who regrettably have been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance due to the ongoing Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.

WHITE WARD's composer and band-leader, Yurii Kazaryan, shares his thoughts:

"It always feels heartbreaking to cancel festivals, and especially this time, when it's Servants of Chaos, a festival organized by our label, Debemur Morti Productions. However, we live in Ukraine under war, in times when the rules for crossing borders are constantly changing, and it's impossible to predict what might happen even a month ahead — all we can do is hope. Unfortunately, the situation has become too complicated this time, so we decided to play it safe and cancel our participation in the festival before it was too late.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us at Servants of Chaos, and we hope to see you next year. And remember who is to blame for this — the one true country-aggressor, the destroyer of lives."

PESTIFER, who released their latest EP, "Defeat of the Nemesis," with us last year, will showcase their unique blend of twisted riffs, intricate leads, and complex, unpredictable rhythms. The band will perform a tour-de-force of their entire discography at the festival, including the recent EP in full.

Vocalist Jérôme shares his anticipation for their upcoming performance:

"First of all, we would like to show our support for WHITE WARD who cannot be present for reasons that we find unfair and revolting. They were among the bands we most wanted to see. Concerning our presence and, to be honest, the simple fact that a festival of the label is happening is already something exciting for us. Being quite fond of the music offered by Debemur Morti, I had already booked a room and planned to attend the event with the whole band. We are therefore even more excited to take part in it through our music and honoured to be able to celebrate the label. We see it as a big macabre family reunion and are proud to be able to transmit our negative vibes and to bring our art to life in front of an audience with such good musical tastes. For the occasion, we will play our latest release in its entirety."
