Please find below an FAQ containing all information regarding the upcoming Servants of Chaos festival. We will continually update this section with the latest details.

Chapter I – Festival Information

1. When and where is the festival?

Servants of Chaos festival will take place over two days at Resonanzwerk, Oberhausen, Germany, on the 18th and 19th of October 2024. Further venue details can be found here.

2. What is the line-up and performance schedule?

The roster of bands is now finalized. Unfortunately, due to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, WHITE WARD have cancelled their appearance. We are grateful to PESTIFER for stepping in at the last minute. Learn more about the change here.

3. Will there be an opportunity to get my records signed?

Most bands and artists will be available at the merch tables after their sets and will be happy to sign albums. Final details will be announced soon.

4. What else is happening at the festival besides the bands?

Long-time DMP collaborator and visual artist Linus from Le 7e Oeil will host an Art exhibition on the first floor of Resonanzwerk, this will feature posters, tote bags and more which will be available for purchase.

Additionally, exclusive vinyl variants of DMP releases will be available for purchase exclusively at the festival.

More details will be announced closer to the event.

5. How do I buy a ticket?

Tickets are currently available as two-day passes and one-day digital tickets, exclusively through our EU shop.

Friday: 50 €
Saturday: 60 €
Friday & Saturday: 90 €

Chapter II – Venue Information & Gastronomy

6. How is the venue structured?

Resonanzwerk features both indoor and outdoor areas, including an outdoor tent and a designated smoking area.

7. Are all areas accessible for people with mobility impairments?

Most festival areas, including food and drink zones, are accessible to everyone. Exceptions are the wardrobe and the spot where Le 7e Oeil’s Art exhibition will be held on the first floor. If you require assistance, please approach the festival crew or the Resonanzwerk security staff. Please note that there is no designated toilet for people with mobility impairments.

8. Can I leave Resonanzwerk during the festival?

Resonanzwerk operates a no re-entry policy. However, you may temporarily leave the venue by depositing your ID card or driver's license with an authorized staff member. Re-entry will then be permitted.

9. Which items can I bring into Resonanzwerk?

Standard regulations apply - no weapons, glass bottles, or dangerous items are allowed on the premises. This does not apply to typical metal festival attire, such as bullet belts. Bringing in outside drinks is also prohibited. CDs, LPs, and merchandise can be brought in for signing. Resonanzwerk offers a wardrobe for a small fee on the first floor.

Please note that the festival will be professionally recorded. By entering Resonanzwerk, you consent to being photographed and filmed. Professional cameras and video equipment are not permitted, and we strongly encourage you to immerse yourself in the music rather than taking photos or videos.

10. Will food be available at the venue?

A food truck from Beef Busters, offering vegan, vegetarian, and meat dishes, will be stationed at the venue. The full menu will be announced shortly before the festival. The food truck will operate from the opening of the doors until the curfew of each day.

11. How do I order drinks at Resonanzwerk?

Drinks are purchased using 'consumption cards', which require a deposit of either €5 or €20. These cards can be bought inside the venue using cash, EC card, debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more, and can be used throughout the venue to buy drinks.

12. Is there an age restriction due to German law?

Children of any age may attend if accompanied by their parents or a legal guardian. Unaccompanied minors can attend as follows:

Under 14: until 20:00
Age 14-15: until 22:00
Age 16-17: until 00:00

All under 18 attendees must fill out a form and submit it at the entrance. Please download the form here.

13. What should I do in case of an emergency?

Resonanzwerk has a highly trained security team. If you encounter any issues or feel unwell/threatened, contact security or the festival crew immediately, and they will provide assistance and guide you to a quiet area within Resonanzwerk.

Chapter III – Arrival & Parking

14. How do I reach Resonanzwerk in Oberhausen? (travel information)

... public transport:

1. From Oberhausen main station head over to bus platform 1, enter any bus going to NEUE MITTE. From there take bus 185 going to ESSEN and get off at ZECHE OBERHAUSEN. It’s a two-minute walk from there.

2. From Oberhausen main station take bus 957 in the direction of GRAẞHOFSTRASSE and get out at UMSICHT. It’s a 10-minute walk from there to Resonanzwerk.

3. From Oberhausen main station take bus 143 in the direction of ESSEN-BORBECK and stop at KNAPPENMARKT. It’s a three-minute walk from there to the venue.

If you need to use public transport at night, please use the “NachtNetz” at station ZECHE OBERHAUSEN (two-minute walk from Resonanzwerk) – line N11 will stop there and depart every hour in the direction of ESSEN main station via ESSEN-BORBECK and OBERHAUSEN main station via NEUE MITTE.

There are multiple routes to reach Resonanzwerk, Oberhausen. The best way is to use your navigation system and/or smartphone. The venue offers free but limited parking, so please be prepared to walk a few minutes if all car parking spaces are already taken. Please be aware that other companies are located next to Resonanzwerk, and there may be private parking spaces which are not available for festival guests. Please respect that and look around for other free spaces nearby. If further information or help is needed regarding your journey to Oberhausen or Resonanzwerk, feel free to contact us or the venue

The closest airports to Oberhausen are AIRPORT DÜSSELDORF (DUS), DORTMUND (DTM) and COLOGNE-BONN/KÖLN-BONN (CGN). Then please follow the steps above to find your way to Resonanzwerk.
