Artist O-A allows another peek into the burial chamber in which LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR's second album "Charnel Noir" was crafted. Today, the musician narrates about the song 'Our Night Hours', the second track and an essential piece of the new longplayer:
"Serving as the essence to guide ‘Charnel Noir’s imagery, shot by David Fitt and featuring Sœur Alice, ‘Our Night Hours’ is the spiritual center of the work. ‘Our Night Hours’ is an ode to predatory, feminine vampirism. ‘Our Night Hours’ is carnality, elegance, hunger, and contempt."
Musically, dismal guitar sounds fused with eerie melodies open 'Our Night Hours', before whispering and tender vocals as well as carefully timed drums complete the menacing trademark sound of LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR. Slowly and without the need for pompousness or theatrics, artists O-A and JSM evoke the haunting atmosphere of a foggy graveyard at midnight. 'Our Night Hours' is a rough black diamond, incorporating the melodic finesse of BABYLON WHORES and the heaviness of PARADISE LOST.
