ARKONA present full album stream

A few days before the official release of Polish Black Metal pioneers ARKONA's eighth album "Stella Pandora", we are pleased to premiere the full stream in collaboration with Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel.

Since their 1993 formation ARKONA have progressively fine-tuned and elevated their sound, and this follow-up to 2019's acclaimed "Age of Capricorn" advances the band further still, as they imbue each phrase with a sense of existential yearning – a wistful awareness of the past dying inside the present.

Conceptually, "Stella Pandora" examines the inevitability of death and the pointlessness of fighting against human destiny: when faith is but a shell aimed at manipulation, myth becomes the only truth in the senselessness of existence.

Composer Khorzon delves into the significance behind the album's title:

"The story of Pandora is a framework in which the texts unfold themselves. Everything contained in this box has to do with all the evil that has befallen humanity over the centuries. Since the dawn of time, we have been fighting something, or something is trying to destroy us. Plagues, famine, wars, the church, and so forth. All this could have crawled out of Pandora's box…"
